Short Bio: ANNE UNDELAND is a member the Dramatists Guild, Howl Playwrights, and Rooted Writers. Productions and workshops of full-length plays include Lady Randy (WAM Theatre at Shakespeare & Company, 2019), Wharton Between the Sheets (Great Barrington Public Theater, 2021 [four Berkshire Theater Critics Association nominations including outstanding new play] Gloucester Stage, Boston 2022, Salmagundi Club, NY 2023, and semifinalist LA’s The Road Theater 2024 New Play Festival). Her short work has been presented around the country (The Road Theater, Nevada Arts Council, SpeakEasy Theater, Windhover Center for Performing Arts, Oldcastle, etc.) with her short, The Kiss winning best play at the Ten Minute Play Festival at the West Side Y in NYC and her audio piece, Adeline’s Gambol a finalist for the Miller Audio Award at the Missouri Review. She has a BA in Medieval Studies from Wesleyan University, works for the sculptor, George Rickey, and is currently at work on a commission from Great Barrington Public Theater for a full-length play: Madame Mozart, the Lacrymosa. https://www.anneundeland.com/

Long Bio: ANNE UNDELAND is a theater artist who has worked throughout the Northeast with Great Barrington Public Theatre, WAM Theatre, Berkshire Playwrights Lab, Ancram Opera House, Ventfort Hall, Barrington Stage, Stageworks, Capital Repertory Theatre, Mixed Company, Mop and Bucket Company, Shakespeare & Company, Metropolitan Playhouse, Studio Theatre at Theatre Row, and the New Repertory Theatre. Born in Egypt (her father was a diplomat), she attended Wesleyan University, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Medieval Studies. Anne spent years as a puppeteer, she developed living history programs for museums, ran oral history projects, narrated audiobooks and played roles in numerous productions for BBC radio and WBUR/Boston. Recently she’s branched out into playwriting and is a member the Dramatists Guild, Howl Playwrights, The Writers’ Rock, and Berkshire Voices. Her work has been presented around the country with her short, The Kiss winning best play at the Ten Minute Play Festival at the West Side Y, her audio piece, Adeline’s Gambol a finalist for the Miller Audio Award at the Missouri Review, her monologue King of the Dink a finalist at Spellbinder Art Literary Quarterly, her full-length solo show, My Louisa a semi-finalist at the Garry Marshall Theatre New Works Festival, and her first full-length play, Lady Randy, produced by WAM Theatre and Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Massachusetts. Her most recent full-length, Wharton Between the Sheets, was produced by Great Barrington Public Theater in 2021 (four Berkshire Theater Critics award nominations, including outstanding new play) and by Boston’s Gloucester Stage in 2022, had a reading at NYC’s Salmagundi Club in 2023, and was a semifinalist for LA’s The Road Theater New Works Festival in 2024. She was the featured playwright with four short plays presented in Putting On Our Shorts, an Evening of Short Plays and Solo Dances at Windhover Center for Performing Arts in Rockport, MA. Most recently, she was featured in the Boston Theater Marathon.
